Yellowknife Pentecostal Tabernacle is located in the Niven Lake area of the capital city of the Northwest Territories. Yellowknife, is the Diamond capital of Canada with a population nearing twenty thousand. YKPT is affiliated with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, and a part of the Alberta & NWT District. Our church is a multi-generational church with many young families.

Our new building was completed in June 2008 and since opening we have begun and continue to operate a fully staffed 36 spot Childcare facility from Monday to Friday, called Kids Corner Childcare. 

YKPT is growing church which is located in an international city. Yellowknife has three diamond mines in the area. Families from many parts of the globe are part of our church from time to time. They hail from such places as Armenia, India, Iran, Korea, Nigeria, New Zealand, Indonesia and from all over Canada ( North, South, East and West). Many fine people from Newfoundland make up a large portion of our church. 

YKPT is a missions-minded church and we have adopted a New Testament model for our missionary efforts. It is based on Acts 1:8 (NIV) "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."" Our Jerusalem is Yellowknife; our Judea is the Sub-Arctic, our Samaria is the rest of Canada and our Uttermost is world missions.

We have a very active Kids Church program children and an Adult Sunday School.  KIDS Church starting  is held during the Morning Service.   This stands for Kids In Divine Service.

The Sunday Morning Service begins at 11:00 am. There is a weekly Coffee/Tea/Snacks fellowship time following the Morning Service. The first Sunday of the month is Communion Sunday and a Soup & Sandwich Fellowship follows the Morning Service. 

There is a home group Bible Study.  This is held on Wednesday evening, at 7:00 pm. 

Young Believers Ministry (YBM) is a ministry to young believers ages 8 - 12 years old that is held on Friday Evenings at 7 pm
